Lulu Roper-Caldbeck is a London-based garden designer working on both residential and commercial gardens. She collaborates closely with clients, architects, interior designers, and property developers to create a wide range of outdoor spaces, from intimate courtyard gardens to expansive roof terraces.
Her design journey began in the fashion industry working for Paul Smith Womenswear. Later, she co-founded Darkroom London, an award-winning concept store celebrated for its pioneering approach to design and interiors. In 2018, Lulu embarked on a new path by retraining as a garden designer. Drawing upon her rich background, she crafts visually instinctive spaces that bridge the gap between urban living and the natural world.
Each project begins with a site-specific and client-driven approach that celebrates natural materials, rich colour palettes and naturalistic planting schemes. With a strong connection to nature and attention to detail, her primary goal is to create interactive spaces that invite its users to engage with the natural world and witness the ever-changing seasons.
