Award-winning garden designer, author of RHS Resilient Garden and featured designer on BBC Two’s Your Garden Made Perfect, Tom Massey, is joining the Mad About Land Team. Tom has been consulting on the development of our new range of outdoor apparel, designed by gardeners for gardeners.
In the coming months, Tom will share his insights on how to work in conjunction with nature and adapt our outdoor spaces, using design principles, methods, and techniques to support wildlife and promote biodiversity. Tom is working with us on our Urban Show Installation design and will be appearing on the stand in Manchester this April.
MAD Urban Show Stand Design
We believe the joy of gardening should be available to all.
Our RHS Urban Show exhibition stand and installation is a retail experience celebrating the egalitarian pursuit of gardening.
The main display is built from compostable boxes, which host a biodiverse plethora of wildflowers and bulbs. The structure is designed to be dismantled so that attendees can distribute and plant each individual box at the end of the show, promoting biodiversity and reducing waste from the build.
Created in collaboration with Award-winning gardener Tom Massey, our modular design encourages visitors to think creatively, and highlights that anyone can garden and grow no matter the size of your space, be that a modest window box, a collection of pots on a balcony, or a landscape brimming with biodiversity.
